After recommending a few skincare products in my last post, I also want to share a few DIY face mask recipes. These are all really simple using 3 ingredients or less which you most likely already have at home and will fit in any budget. The main ingredient in each mask is honey because I’m obsessed and use it every single day! 🙂
• 1-2 tsp honey & 1/2 tsp lemon juice. Apply to skin and let it dry for about 20 minutes. The lemon will brighten your skin and fade scars.
• 2 tbs oatmeal, 1 tbs honey & 1 tbs coconut oil. Mix together, rub on to face for a few minutes to exfoliate skin. Oatmeal is anti-infammatory & contains anti-oxidants and is known for its skin soothing properties. Honey provides natural healing properties and coconut oil is very moisturizing.
• 1/2 banana & 1 tsp honey. Mash banana & mix with honey. Apply to face and leave on for 15 minutes. Will leave your skin softer & smoother.
The honey I used for these masks is the Avocado Honey from Massey Honey in California. They source unprocessed, unheated, unfiltered, all natural honey. It’s strained into its raw form to retain its nutritional benefits. It has a very rich, dark color and bold flavor that goes well in tea, drizzled on fruit or cheese & of course offers tons of benefits in natural face masks.
