Start to Finish Glowing Skin Routine

As someone with oily skin, my natural instinct is always to go matte. Matte foundation, mattifying powders, all things matte. However, during the warmer months, having tan, glowing dewy skin just feels so much more… natural?! It does for me at least! Needless to say I’m absolutely crazy about glow-y makeup! Without further adieu, my start to finish routine + favorite makeup to achieve a flawless, radiant glow:

Step 1 ·×· Glowbiotics .:. After cleansing my face I use the the resurfacing pads to gently exfoliate and brighten my skin. These contain aloe vera juice to sooth and calm skin and a probiotic blend help restore skins defense system. These pads work well to reveal a brighter, more youthful appearance with fewer blemishes. I use these about 3 times a week in the morning. After exfoliating, I follow up with the Probiotic Hydraglow Cream Oil. It’s infused with a reflective mineral complex that instantly reveals brighter, more radiant skin. This adds such a nice glow, and is great to apply alone before foundation or mixed together with it. It amps up the overall glowy-ness and leaves a dewy finish.

Step 2 ·×· Glo Minerals Tinted Primer SPF 30 .:. During the warmer months I like to use a lighter, sheer foundation.. it seems to last longer throughout days when its 80+ degrees and your makeup can barely make it without melting off.  If you’re looking for full coverage foundation, this is great to wear under it, if you’re looking for sheer/medium buildable coverage, this on its own is a great option. It’s an oil free formula with mineral sun protection and evens skin tone while providing a light, smooth radiance. Wearing it alone won’t totally cover blemishes/skin imperfections, but it covers redness and discoloration really well.

Step 3 ·×· TRUE Isaac Mizrahi Illuminating Shimmer .:. Super blendable powders that I have been wearing every. single. day. These add such a luminous glow to skin when worn over foundation. Two swipes for subtlety or a few more if you’re bold. They’re infused with crushed pearl to enhance the skin with a beautiful shimmer. Combine all six shades and dust over cheekbones or use each color stripe as a shimmery eye shadow. Either way, you’re skin will look completely radiant! Rose Quartz contains 6 shades of pink & cream and doubles as a highlight and blush. Bronze gives a really soft, sun-kissed glow and the color balances so well with tanned skin and is a fabulous contour color as well.

Step 4 ·×· Laura Geller Filter Finish Setting Powder .:. I can’t get enough of this. I liberally apply it ALL over my face to set my makeup and illuminate my skin. It’s super easy to apply, lightweight, blends well and doesn’t settle into creases. This is even greater to use if you have oily skin, it helps keep excess oil away and leaves a really flawless finish. The end result is a really soft, subtle glow that lasts hours. This is by far my favorite product of Laura Gellers that I’ve tried thus far. Highly recommend.

Step 5 ·×· Nuxe Shimmering Dry Oil .:. I am addicted to body oils and this one leaves the prettiest shine while locking in moisture from head to toe. The formula is really hydrating and REALLY concentrated so a very little goes a long way. It’s a combination of macadamia, borage, St. John’s Wort, almond, hazelnut and camellia oils and golden mineral particles. It absorbs quickly and leaves behind a smooth golden sheen. I use this all over my body (neck down) and rub a tiny bit between my palms and run it through my finished hairstyle for added shine.

  1. These look like great products! I love the way those illuminators look! I don’t have oily skin but I tend to prefer a matte look in the colder months and a dewy look in warm months as well.

    1. Thank you! 🙂 I really love the Illuminators, I’ve been using them every day for the past 6 weeks or so!! I agree dewy skin in the summer just looks so pretty and is easier to handle with the crazy high temperatures.
