September *&* October Beauty Favorites

This is loooong overdue. A few of my favorite beauty products I’ve been loving from September & October!

Honest Beauty Falling For You Palette .:. Ummmm, just take a minute to admire that packaging… I’m in love. This palette immediately caught my attention for fall. The colors are so beautiful and on trend for the season and all designed by celebrity makeup artist, Daniel Martin. The shades are really edgy and come in a bold variety of berry, metallic and shimmery colors inspired by Daniel’s interpretation of fall/winter 2016 runway trends. Five eye colors, 2 lip colors and 1 cheek color. I love the cream blush, the color is universally flattering and applies so smoothly and blends out easily. This palette stands out among others and I am totally loving it for fall! // http://www.honestbeauty.com

S.W. Basics Exfoliant .:. This exfoliant is making me reconsider cleaning out my beauty products and switching to more natural, “green beauty” options. With only three safe organic ingredients, oat flour, almond flour and sea salt, this gently gives your skin a deep clean without feeling to rough or abrasive. It leaves your skin incredibly smooth & soft and of course, it’s something you can feel comfortable about using because it contains zero harsh chemicals. I rotate using this between morning & nights. It’s great and preparing skin for moisturizer and helps makeup apply extra flawlessly. Mix one part water and 1 part exfoliant, or if you’re feeling adventurous mix it with natural honey, its soothing, effective and a great way to treat tired skin. // http://www.swbasicsofbk.com

Basq NYC Rebalancing Facial Cleanser .:. Created specifically for moms & moms-to-be, this line is formulated with natural oils and rich antioxidants that are both safe and reliable. They have a lot of products designed to treat stretch marks (why didn’t I discover this company a year ago!?) but also have a variety of products that will safely work wonders on your skin. My two favorites are their Rebalancing Facial Cleanser, it’s contains ingredients like oat root extract to control oil, ylang ylang, to prevent acne and is ideal for pretty much all skin types. I’ve been super picky with my facial cleansers the past few months or so and this one made the cut. It’s super gentle but leaves skin feeling clean and refreshed without irritating even the most sensitive skin. I also LOVE their Bright Eyes cucumber tea eye gel… Wow. I’ve been on an eye cream kick lately, and find myself using it pretty much every night. The powerful combination of cucumber extract and green tea really calms and soothes the skin and helps fight puffiness, which is totally appreciated over here! // http://www.basqnyc.com

Bella Aura .:. The Night Cellular Renewal is rich in vitamins, minerals and nutrients and offers results extremely fast, and within just a few uses. It’s designed to nourish, replenish, renew and re-balance your skin to a brighter more youthful glow. It helps reduce visible signs of aging, improves hydration and elasticity, supports the skins natural collagen and helps skin reach its ideal cellular renewal during sleep. So it’s essentially a skin miracle in a bottle. I’ve had this for months and found it to be one of the most beneficial products I’ve used at night. It isn’t something I use every night (it’s pricey and I’m trying to make the product last) but I love how firm and smooth my skin feels the morning after each use. With this, my skin looks way less red and just healthier overall. I also use their Daily Repair Moisturizer, which is also packed with tons of vitamins. The texture is really light and doesn’t leave a greasy feeling and the scent is really calming. Their products are definitely a splurge but the results speak for themselves. I enjoy using these in my at-home “spa night” routine. // http://www.bellaaura.com

Pevonia Stem Cell Phyto-Elite Intensive Body Corrector .:. Unfortunately, after having 2 kids, stretch marks are a part of my life. My doctor told me they’re genetic and depend on the elasticity of your skin, so I didn’t do a whole lot to try and prevent them in the first place. Luckily it’s never too late to get into a habit of addressing different areas of concern and treating them. This is ideal for treating cellulite, age spots, sun damage, unevenness and roughness. It is an anti-aging blend of Argan and Comfrey Stem Cells that provide a smoother, more youthful appearance. I’ll be completely honest, this isn’t going to “fix” your skin overnight or isn’t even something you will notice a difference within the first week or so of use, but with continued use and making this a part of your skincare routine, you’re on the path to smoother skin you can feel confident in! // http://www.pevonia.com

Kaplan MD Perfect Pout Lip Mask + Lip Balm Duo .:. Fuller, plumper lips are all the rage lately and I am all about a good lip plumper. Although it’s kind of gimmicky, I still enjoy applying the lip mask to fully smooth & restore my lips and find that my lips look fuller and any lip product I apply overtop looks smoother and applies more evenly. It comes with a tiny little spatula and is easy to apply and has a strong peppermint scent and only tingles slightly. I’m not the biggest fan of lip balm; the scents isn’t the most pleasant and have other balms that work better, just my personal opinion. The mask is what makes this duo worth the purchase and gives my lips a beautiful pouty look after every use. // http://www.kaplanmd.com

BHuE Beauty Pencil Kit .:. Each pencil is multifunctional and the shades are all daily staples. This is a brand new launch and is super convenient for traveling. It contains 6 pencils for highlighting, brows, lips, eyeliner, and I even like using the taupe color as an all over lid color. Lining your lower lash waterline with lighter colors really opens up your eyes and brings out the color in them. Café Au Lait is a beautiful color for a natural looking nude lip that understates any eyeshadow look. I am a sucker for a good nude lip color and these are a fun & useful addition to any makeup collection. // http://www.bhuebeauty.com

Clinique Superbalanced Makeup .:. Beautiful sheer/medium coverage and there is a shade for EVERY skin tone. I am completely obsessed with the Fiona Stiles liquid foundation, so I have super high expectations for any other foundation I try. This one actually impressed me. It offers great coverage and builds really well without getting cakey, and best part about it? .. It’s great for oily skin. Who else finds it really hard to find foundations that suit oily skin?! I know I do. It’s a matte, opaque finish but doesn’t draw attention to any dry spots or fine lines. My skin is sensitive and I have a lot of redness on my cheeks, this covers everything so well and doesn’t break me out at all. // http://www.clinique.com

VENeffect Anti-Aging Lip Treatment .:. This + the Mizzi Cosmetics lip scrub = the perfect pair. This visibility reduces the appearance of vertical lines and hydrates, softens and plumps. It has a really rich, creamy texture, and leaves my lips incredible soft and hydrated immediately upon application. A must have for the fall & winter seasons when skin starts to get dry and lips start to get chapped. It’s not something that just sits on top of your lips; it sinks in an deeply hydrates and lasts all day. It’s definitely a splurge but if you’re looking for a really hydrating lip treatment, this is it. And a little goes a long way with this, so it will last you a while. // http://www.veneffect.com

unnamed-11 LXMI Crème Du Nil .:. A luxurious cream that brings life back to dull, lackluster skin. It’s an oil-free, incredibly rich formula packed with their LXMI’s signature ingredient, Nilotica Reserve, found in rural Uganda, which delivers essential fatty acids, in addition to Hibiscus Flower Acids to exfoliate, and Uganda Vanilla Pods to preserve natural beauty. This cream is excellent for both morning & evening use. I love the little metal wand that it comes with. The copper tipped end helps massage product into skin and intensify the benefits and just feels really soothing. A light layer of this will leave your skin incredibly hydrated and help refine texture. Their signature ingredient, Nilotica Reserve is harvested by women in the Nile River Valley, offering them a fair wage to live & support their families. I’m impressed with the results of this product and love that this company is committed to creating social change and supports a good cause. // http://www.lxmi.com

Worker B Honey Face Wash .:. I love honey infused skincare, this stuff is the real deal and is made with a healthy dose of pure, raw honey. This doubles as a cleanser & a mask, and is super gentle. In addition to raw honey it contains, organic rosehip seed oil, sesame seed oils and elderberry extract. I think this is targeted more towards dry skin and didn’t totally love it for my skin type. It was almost TOO hydrating for my face and left a thick film type of feeling over my face. I didn’t want to toss it all together so I tried using it as a body wash, and am SO glad that I did. Obviously the product won’t go as far as it would if you were using it for your face only, but I loved it as a body cleanser… a little goes a long way and your skin is left deeply hydrated and smooth & clean. A good lesson to always give things more than one try and find multiple uses for your products! // http://www.worker-b.com
