Not Your Average Nudes ::: Colorful Eyeshadows

Nowadays, finding a solid “nude” eyeshadow palette is pretty easy. If not all, almost every big beauty company offers their version of neutrals & nudes and it all comes down to personal preference. But finding unique colors amidst a market of browns, taupes and creams, is where the real search begins. As someone who usually sticks to the typical everyday basic taupe colors, I decided to venture out and find the most unique (to me) colors in a handful of my most loved palettes. I’m pretty limited in the bright color makeup department, but I plan to be more adventurous this year. If you’re looking to add some color to your collection check out some of my favorites below:

I love Lorac’s formula the best, it’s so smooth and buttery and is just overall amazing. I love the Pro 1 & 2 and even more so the limited edition Mega Pro 3! While the color megapixel, from the Love Your Selfie 2 palette isn’t anything crazy, the color is so pigmented and compliments any eye color and is one of the best gold colors that I’ve found. The Land Down Under palette just screams summer to me and is great for creating fun, fresh colorful looks. The UD x Gwen Stefani palette has some really pretty colors and 1987 is one of my top 3 most used in the entire palette, it’s a cross between gold and yellow. Anastasia Beverly Hills, I was totally on the fence with this one. Every beauty blogger/vlogger raved about it, but I didn’t know if I liked that the entire palette is warm toned, it’s one palette I can say is completely worth it and every color is so gorgeous. The color insomnia from the sold out, limited edition Makeup Geek x Manny MUA palette is so pretty, so fun and so different!
