My Favorite Peter Thomas Roth Masks

There’s no doubt that face masks are an undeniably satisfying way to treat your skin. Masking isn’t a spa-only luxury, it’s a great way to pamper yourself, relax and indulge in a plethora of skincare benefits right in the comfort of your own home while giving your skin some much needed TLC! I am totally a mask-a-holic, and these are my current favorites:

unnamed

::: Cucumber Gel ::: // The Soothing Mask •• Best used to address redness, sunburns, eye puffiness and is anti-inflammatory. It contains cucumber extract, papaya fruit, chamomile, and whole leaf aloe vera. As expected, the cooling cucumber is soothing and sure beats the hassle of having to take the time to create your own DIY cucumber concoction at home. I have really sensitive skin and have to be careful when using certain masks or skincare in general. This hands-down soothed & calmed any redness and left my skin soft and refreshed. It’s probably the most basic of the bunch, but certainly serves its purpose.

::: Rose Stem Cell ::: // The Sleeping Mask •• This mask is best applied as an overnight sleeping mask. It’s ideal for sensitive skin and assists with anti-aging, hydration and pore refinement. The potent combination of rose stem cells and rose extracts promote skin cell regeneration, while helping tighten pores. I apply a thin layer all over my face and let the ingredients work their magic overnight. I use this once a week or so when I feel my skin needs a little extra TLC. As someone with oily/combination skin, I hate thick heavy nighttime moisturizers. Not the case at all with this, the gel based formula is the perfect consistency and soaks into skin and doesn’t feel like you’re wearing a mask at all, and most definitely does not leave behind a greasy feeling. I love how my skin feels on mornings after using this. If I had to pick a favorite of the four, it’d probably be this one.

::: 24K Gold ::: // The Luxurious Anti-Aging Mask •• Being the most expensive of them all, and the name having 24k gold in it, I was most curious to try this mask. It’s best used to firm, refine, brighten, de-puff and plump skin. If you’re looking for a truly luxurious mask, this is it! It’s infused with pure 24k gold in addition to colloidal gold to keep skin firm & glowing. It also contains caffeine which works wonders on tired, dull skin. While this mask is pricey, gold spa treatments can cost upwards of hundreds of dollars, and this jar will easily give you 20+ uses depending on how liberally you apply it. The shimmery gold appearance makes this fun to apply and really gives you that spa-like feeling right at home. Unlike many masks, this one shows immediate results after the first use and will leave your skin glowing and youthful. I’m a big fan!

::: Blue Marine Algae ::: // The Hydrating Mask •• The powerful, nutrient-rich Blue Marine Algae intensely hydrates skin while preventing future damage. It contains Antarcticine which is a unique glycoprotein that’s sourced from Arctic glacial ice, it helps skin retain & replenish moisture levels and protects skin against extreme temperatures. This is especially beneficial for dry, dehydrated skin. While this mask did pack a huge punch of hydration, it was is my least used mask. I don’t have dry skin so this isn’t totally necessary for my skin type and doesn’t address my specific skin concerns.

  1. What a great review! These all look so amazing! I had seen these around and had wondered about it. It’s great that you’ve done them all!

      1. I have sensitive skin too and the only PTR mask I’ve had a problem with is the pumpkin one. But it warns that it might be harsh for sensitive skin, and I left it on longer than I should have. I woke up the next day with a rash all over my chin. Lesson learned!
