The Beauty Crop – Espresso Yourself Eyeshadow Palette

First off – why can’t all makeup be coffee infused?! I came across The Beauty Crop on Instagram and thought their makeup looked really fun and unique, and of course, I was immediately drawn to this palette. Two of my favorite things.. coffee + eyeshadow – I’m all about it!

The details: it’s made with coffee extract, coconut & shea butter, it’s cruelty-free, vegan and contains no parabens, mineral oils, sulphates or phthalates. There are 21 shades total from matte to shimmer and it’s a really good neutral “staple” palette.

So, if you’ve never tried anything from The Beauty Crop and you’re curious what it’s comparable to, I’d say its similar to Pixi eyeshadows, both the quality & consistencies were similar and even the swatches, blendabilty were about the same. This isn’t a super powdery, soft formula so I found that the mattes took a little more time to blend but you won’t have to worry about any fallout. The shimmers in this palette are what really stand out to me.

You can see in the swatches above how pigmented some of the shimmer shades are. Stand out shades: Strawberries & Cream, Gold Roast & Cinnamon Cream. All three of these colors applied SO smoothly and almost mimicked a cream eyeshadow formula. Shades I had the most trouble with: Flat White, Gingerbread & Chai, the lighter shades seemed more chalky and didn’t apply that well or show up on me.

Although this palette is pretty much all neutral colors, I think its a fun addition to my collection and something I reach for regularly.

FYI ** As always, my reviews are not paid and are based on my own opinion, personal use and results.
