DIY Coffee Scrub to Wake Up Tired Skin

Who else is beyond ready for Spring to get here?! We had a mild Winter in Nashville, comparatively to what I’m used to having grown up in the North East. Yet, no matter how cold or not it is every morning, I still have the hardest time waking up and just… functioning. I’ve come to terms with the fact that I will never be a morning person. Not happening. So I’m trying to find & make ways to help pep me up and start my day off and this is one of the easiest ways to pamper your skin while getting a little jolt of caffeine. It contains just 3 ingredients, probably ones you already have on hand and takes less than a minute to put together.

.:. 2 tbsp melted coconut oil

.:. 1 tbsp granulated sugar

.:. 1 tbsp coffee grounds

I always make enough for 1 use, the ratio can be changed depending on how thick you want the scrub to be. I like mine on the looser side so sometimes I end up adding more coconut oil, I can’t stand a really rough, dry scrub.   And I definitely suggest using already brewed cooled coffee grounds – never waste good coffee! The coffee scent is noticeable, but if you want to amp up the scent, you can add a few drops of coffee essential oil. Enjoy! Xo.
