Deck of Scarlet 08 – Palette Subscription Service

Have you ever found something.. anything, and thought it was made just for you?! I recently discovered Deck of Scarlet, and no truer words could be spoken in this case. It’s a bi-monthly subscription service that delivers a unique palette packed with eyeshadows, face powders and lip colors created by top bloggers & YouTubers. I am a palette junkie and think this idea is brilliant and totally worthwhile.

The subscription service costs $29.95 every other month and you can skip anytime. Their latest palette (08) was designed with YouTuber Kim Thai. With almost 500k subscribers, her channel was new to me, but I am always looking for new faces and techniques to learn from, and am glad I came across her page.

Unlike so many other eye palettes that contain 15, 20, 25+ shades, this one only contains 3. So it’s super easy to use, theres a color for your crease, lid and outer corner. Upon opening this, I was excited to see really wearable, workable shades that I’d get a lot of use out of and one of the most beautiful shimmer shades ever; Enchanted!

The quality is great and consistent across the board. Although I don’t prefer potted lip colors, I do love the shimmery lip gloss they included. This looks beautiful alone or applied over any color. Both face powders are super wearable, I love the highlighter Fairy Dust, I hate the overly pigmented, glittery highlights, this one is smooth and adds a subtle glow without looking over the top. And the eye shades are really pretty and was so glad to see a must have nude shade, Myth. The blush isn’t overly pigmented and is very forgiving. I liberally applied this and it did NOT give me clown cheeks, so I’d say its ideal for beginners or those of us who tend to go in a little heavy handed.

If you’re looking for a truly unique subscription service and are palette obsessed, you will most definitely enjoy this! Xo.

FYI ** As always, my reviews are not paid and are based on my own opinion, personal use and results.

  1. Very interesting concept. I had a look on their website, the palettes look very good, but it’s a bit expensive for a subscription. If you’re paying around £30, i think this subscription is better
Even though i haven’t subscribe to this beauty box, i think it compensates, because it’s about high-end brands ☺
Anyway, I really like your post, because approach a new concept of subscription 😉
