Urban Decay Hydromaniac Tinted Glow Hydrator

Hydromaniac is Urban Decay’s latest foray into natural skin-like coverage “foundation” that is hydrating, brightening & long lasting on the skin. It contains kombucha, marula & argan oils and ginger extract and comes in a range of 12 shades.

It’s a light weight formula that feels balmy upon application and it can easily be built up from medium to full coverage. The standout ingredient, Kombucha Filtrate is antioxidant rich and helps brighten and increase skins luminosity. UD’s website recommends blending this out with your fingertips, I prefer to use a damp beautyblender for light to medium coverage that will even out your skin tone while still looking natural and life-like. Because this contains hydrating oils, I don’t feel the need to use a makeup primer before applying. It easily melts into the skin without accentuating texture/lines or pores. I always set any liquid face product with a matte powder to lock it in place and minimize excess shine.

UD claims that it’s a 24-hour wear formula, does not contain SPF and is completely vegan. I like the ingredients, that it’s gives a more natural looking finish than some of their previous foundation formulas and how weightless and comfortable it feels on the skin. If you can find a shade that works for you and you enjoy a tinted moisturizer with a radiant, natural finish, I think you’ll enjoy this. This has been the only foundation I’ve reached for in the last few weeks.
