Hourglass Ambient Lighting Palette <3

Ever wonder why your makeup can look completely different depending on the lighting? The Hourglass collection of Ambient Lighting Finishing Powders were designed to diffuse and soften the way light reflects on skin. Each powder contains photoluminescent technology to filter harsh lighting and refine the appearance of the complexion while adding luminescence. As one of the most coveted face palettes of over 5 years, this is one of the most versatile products that will leave your skin glowing & flawless in the most flattering way possible.

The trio includes existing shades Dim Light & Radiant Light from the Hourglass Ambient Lighting powders. The third powder; Incandescent Light is exclusive to this palette. The individual powders cost $46 for 0.35oz/10 g, while the palette contains a total of 0.348oz of product with each pan containing 0.116oz/3.3 g each for $62 total.

Dim Light has a neutral beige tone and looks beautiful swept all across your skin to blur and soften the appearance of pores/imperfections. Wearing this alone won’t provide any coverage but on top of foundation is where you see the true beauty in this type of powder. It adds life back to dull, flat skin after being totally matte from various powders and foundation. This will be the one I go through the first out of the three powders.

Incandescent Light is a slight pink/beige highlighter that contains a very subtle shimmer finish. Upon application it appears almost undetectable but in the sun it gives off such a pretty sheen. This is one of my favorite highlighters, ever. First and foremost the shade is perfect for light to medium skin tones. This isn’t the type of highlighter that will accentuate texture and reflect from light years away. It’s subtle, beautiful and will add the most natural radiance to the skin.

Radiant Light is the equivalent to Incandescent Light but for medium to deep skin tones. It has a slight shimmer, golden beige tone. When used sparingly this adds a subtle (but noticeable) sun-kissed glow to lighter skin tones. It adds a nice warmth & vibrance to the face making it look like you’ve just come back from a tropical vacation. While this isn’t a bronzer, I find using this in it’s place gives a much lighter, more natural glowy finish.

Albeit pricey, the quality is there. These powders melt right into your skin and completely transform your finished look in such a uniquely, beautiful way. Xo.

  1. Haven’t tried these powders yet but they look stunning! Have you tried their Strobe Lighting powders?

      1. I really want to try the strobe highlighters first! They even come in minis!

  2. Ok this is sooooo random, LOL! But I am just in loveee with your blog! I just started a blog with my friends. Is there any tips or helpful tricks that will help us! Thank you!

    1. Thank you so much!! 💓 I would say planning out posts (I keep notes on my phone) and trying to stick to a schedule (or certain number of posts a week). But definitely don’t stress too much – it’s fun and you don’t want it to feel like a job! 🙂

      1. Also if you ever start to get bored of blogging about your niche (makeup, skincare, food, fitness, travel, etc) switch it up to help you from burning out! Blogging is fun and a nice way to escape basic everyday tasks. Good luck with everything!
