Temptu Perfect Canvas Hydra Lock Airbrush Foundation

Airbrush makeup is the secret to flawless foundation. It is said to be more hygienic than other forms of makeup application methods given that it doesn’t require any product to be touched with your hands or a brush/sponge. When spraying the foundation on with the airbrush, it atomises the liquid into tiny particles allowing it to instantly produce a flawless finish. Temptu – one of the leaders in airbrush makeup, just released their latest and greatest; the Perfect Canvas Hydra Lock Airbrush Foundation.

This foundation is: oil-free, vegan, water resistant, free of parabens, pthalates, and fragrances. One of the most unique things about this is that it contains Temptu’s Hydra Lock Technology which is an amino acid polymer claimed to be four times more hydrating than Hyaluronic Acid. It also includes peptides to reduce the appearance of wrinkles, fruit and plant extracts to firm skin, and white birch to help improve tone & texture. Even though it’s a hydrating formula, it dries down semi-matte so it doesn’t make your skin look excessively oily, just smooth & radiant.

While this does apply effortlessly using the airbrush, it also looks smooth, even and seamless applied with a regular makeup brush. I tend to go back and forth with using a damp beauty sponge and a dense oval brush when it comes to foundation. In my experience, I find this to apply best with a dense brush as not as much product is absorbed leaving more to be distributed across your skin. It’s a very liquidy, thin consistency making it ideal for layering and building and it’s nearly impossible for it to appear heavy/caked on. There’s 24 shades, from super light to deep, so it’s suitable for everyone. And, if you’re like me and prefer foundation that actually looks real & natural on your skin then you’d probably enjoy this. With a good setting powder, it lasts a solid 8-10 hours on and doesn’t seem to oxidize on my skin.
