Pacifica Coconut Infused Eyeshadow Palettes // Crystal Matrix, Pink Nudes + Beachy Punk

I’ll admit, for the longest time I always associated price with quality. Oh, a ridiculously expensive $200 foundation.. it must be more pigmented, longer lasting, the most amazing product to ever hit the shelves of Sephora. However since I started blogging and have tried upwards of hundreds & hundreds of products I’ve found that that so far from the truth when it comes to makeup. Yes, in SO many cases the saying “you get what you pay for” is true, but in the beauty industry.. not always!

Like many (or all) of Pacifica’s products, these palettes are 100% vegan, cruelty free & gluten-free. I’ve used Pacifica products over the last few years and love that their formulas lean more on the natural side, are super affordable and can be purchased at one of my favorite stores; Target! I tried other eyeshadows from Pacifica years ago and was less than excited about them, but wanted to give these new palettes a try anyway. While not every single shade is a total hit and these aren’t dupes for a more expensive option, overall I’m pretty impressed with them.

The Pink Nudes palette is my favorite, no matter how hard I try to step out of my comfort zone with makeup, I always go right back to my tried & true nude shades. This palette has enough of a matte variety to create a whole look and the colors blend & apply beautifully. I’ve been reaching for this a lot lately!

The Crystal Matrix palette (I’ve seen the name differ from site to site) kind of falls into the holographic unicorn beauty trend. All 10 shades are shimmer, there’s a nice variety of colors, a few everyday wearable shades in addition to a few fun pops of colors like a deep green, light purple and bright yellow. I was most drawn to this color selection as I love cool-toned shades.

The Beachy Punk palette is definitely contains the boldest, out of the ordinary colors of all three palettes. I am drawn to the 2 colors all the way to the right. I love a good purple shade and the coral/gold shade makes for a great all over lid color. Although they look bright & bold in the pans, they apply a lot more sheer and need to be built up if you’re looking for any intensity.

Top 3 Pink Nude Palette – Middle 3 Beachy Punk – Bottom 3 Crystal Matrix

As far as he texture goes, they’re really soft, not buttery intensely pigmented colors but they’re smooth and have good (decent for some) color payoff. I do notice that the darker shades had the best pigmentation and some of the lighter shades were less pigmented and didn’t apply as easily. Most of the colors need to be built up, but they do layer nicely. While these won’t be replacing any of my go-to palettes, they’re a nice, affordable addition to my collection and enjoy the portability and ease of travel with these.
