First off – how beautiful are these lipsticks?! To be totally honest, I just got these today but don’t usually get this excited over lipsticks so I tried them right away and am eager to share my thoughts! I’ve seen several other brands with these “flower” lipsticks but never actually gave them a try, until now. The claims: They’re described as being a lipstick, lip gloss and lip tint all in one, and are infused with gold flakes and actually contain a real flower. They’re “color changing” and reveal a shade of pink thats unique to your lips.
I think I was most excited about these because the flower just looks so pretty and the scent… oh the scent is amazing. I love a nicely scented lipstick. I will reach for a product more just for the scent alone. I am definitely more of a lip gloss kind of girl vs lipstick. However, these apply so smoothly and feel nothing like a typical lipstick. They’re a gel texture and are super hydrating and remind me more of a lip stain more than anything else. I wore the shade When Your Song Comes On for about 6 hours today and honestly feel like the color got better the longer it was on. When I first applied it (only about 2 layers) the color was a little too bright pink for me.. I kind of wiped a little off with my fingers and quickly found out that this is definitely a lip stain… the color stayed on my arm (see swatches) for a while despite washing it off twice.
After eating dinner, talking and going about my day for hours I noticed the color somewhat faded into a softer, lighter pink, which was much more my style. Despite the two shades I have looking completely different, once applied the pink shades look pretty similar. As far as the color being unique for each person, I think that’s kind of gimmicky but awesome if it’s true. But I do love the texture, how hydrating they feel (I HATE dry lipsticks!), the lasting power and just the overall innovative concept! Has anyone else tried a “color changing” lipstick!?

I really want to try out one of these lipsticks! I brought a ‘green’ lipstick that turns into a pinky/red on your lips, but I haven’t pushed the boat out any further as of yet! x
Ahh that’s awesome – I’ll have to check that out! Yes these are fun, one is probably enough though, I thought the colors were very similar once applied! Let me know if you end up trying them out! 🙂
