Kandee Johnson is killing it this year (in a good way of course)! Between this Too Faced collection she helped create and her new OGX collaboration – I’m so excited what else she has in store for us. She’s one of the first ever YouTube personalities I’ve ever watched and well on her way to superstardom. And as for this limited edition collection, I couldn’t be more in love!
I Want Kandee Banana Pudding Powder ::: If you are only planning to get ONE item from this collection, I highly recommend it should be this! I have combination/oily skin and using a good setting powder is a must, no matter how matte of a foundation I use. I LOVE using this to not only set my under-eye area but to mattify my entire face. It adds a subtle (but noticeable) brightness to the skin that no other setting powder I have does. Yellow is awesome at neutralizing redness, so if that’s an issue for you this will definitely help, I can vouch for that – and this even contains tiny dots of pink, purple and green for added color correction benefits, yes please! And, as expected, it smells slightly like bananas! It blends out amazingly and doesn’t leave behind a yellow cast at all, I highly recommend this and hope Too Faced makes this a permanent product!
I Want Kandee Eye Palette ::: What I feel like most people are excited for.. who doesn’t love a new eyeshadow palette?! Kandee did an awesome job at choosing just the right colors for this. It has your everyday neutral colors that we all want, but also contains a few shimmery bold shades that add life to the palette and make it fun and something you’ll want to reach for. It contains 15 total shades in matte, shimmer and satin strategically placed into 3 “clusters” for easy go-to looks AND they included a cute little “recipe” booklet which includes some of Kandee’s signature looks. What makes this palette unique is that it contains 3 “mixers” (Banana Cream Pie, Ice Cream & Whipped Cream) to lighten and change each eyeshadow shade. So essentially, it’s like adding additional colors to the palette and a fun way to customize the color selection to your liking, and depending on your skin tone you can even use them as highlighters. I love the color selection, the packaging, the SCENT.. I love it all! This was really well done. And I’m impressed by both the matte and shimmer shades in this palette both are very pigmented and blend out amazingly, the only shade I noticed any fall out was Sweet Toffee. The rest not at all, and the black in this palette is one of the best black formulas I’ve found in an eyeshadow, which many fall short and aren’t pigmented enough. So, whether you have 50+ eye palettes or you’re looking to buy your first one, this is sure to be loved and get tons and tons of use (I use it so much and have created a bunch of different looks!).
I Want Kandee Glow ::: Out of all of the items I’ve tried in this collection, this one has the strongest sweet candy scent, and I am definitely not hating it! I usually prefer powder face products but will make an exception for this. I prefer dabbing just a little bit across my cheeks and nose, it adds a really pretty glow. If you’re someone who loves an intense highlight by all means glide this right across your cheeks, it will surely do the job. It does contain specks of glitter so it’s something to keep in mind whether you like that or not.
::: [ SWATCHES ] :::
This collection also has 4 all new melted matte lip colors which I did not try out! Overall, I think she did an amazing job at putting out just enough products that are all very well done. What are your favorite products from the I Want Kandee Collection!? Xo.
