Organic makeup has always intrigued me. I went on a huge decluttering spree a few years ago after downloading the Think Dirty app and reading about some of the nasty chemicals in my everyday products. While I do prefer organic skincare when I can find things that work well for me, organic makeup can sometimes be difficult. However, Antonym’s baked powders and their eco-chic packaging totally caught my attention!
Unlike many of the organic makeup brands I’ve tried, Antonym Cosmetic’s products are packed with pigmentation and are comparable swaps to their less “clean” counterparts. They contain only Ecocert certified natural & organic ingredients, are cruelty-free, and are made from eco-friendly sustainable bamboo packaging.
::: Certified Organic Baked Foundation ::: The coverage from this is comparable to that of a BB cream, in powder form. It’s really lightweight, sheer and more so just adds a thin layer of color that helps blur pores. If I’m going for a “lighter” makeup day, I enjoy using this alone, but if I want additional coverage, I liberally apply this with their kabuki brush over top of a liquid foundation or BB cream, and it layers seamlessly. It’s a really soft, creamy formula that doesn’t feel dry of accentuate any texture or fine lines. I wear the shade Light and it matches my skin tone perfectly and doesn’t oxidize or change color at all. If you have super oily skin, you might not love this formula or may have to set it with additional powder. With my skin type (combination/oily T zone) I find it to add an all over glow, not in a greasy way, but it does add shine.
::: Certified Organic Highlighting Blush Cheek Crush ::: I am a sucker for beautiful blushes and this is definitely one. It’s a perfect peachy, golden pink and is so flattering. When I wear this, I skip the highlight because this one adds a subtle luminosity to cheeks without being too much. Know what I mean? I love a subtle highlight but can’t stand the BAM in-your-face highlight. It’s just too much for me! The consistency is really smooth and blendable and it adds such radiance to the cheeks. While I usually prefer matte face powders, I’ll make an exception for this. 🙂

All of their products look so beautiful! I’d love to try the blush. It looks so gorgeous and glowy in the pan.
It’s really pretty – very glowy. 🙂
Great review! I love the packaging of these powders 😍👌🏻
Thank you! Me too! 🙌🏻
Currently looking for an organic foundation ! Like you I realised how many chemicals are in my makeup. Lovely review, I just read another review on this product 5 minutes ago and it seems like it’s getting great feedback x
I really like it – I don’t use it as often as I’d like (I prefer more coverage) but this is nice for days you’re looking to wear less makeup with lighter coverage. I’m into it 🙂
