If you watch Marlena’s YouTube channel you totally get the “current obsessions” title. 😉 I have loved the Makeup Geek brand for years – I think it’s a phenomenal value for the quality and have been a long time fan of Marlena as well! See below for my current favorites, what I’m loving and what I can’t get enough of!
Lets start off with their Plush Matte lip color in Beach Bunny and Plush Creme in Jetsetter. Beach Bunny is a warm nude with a matte finish and one of those “your lips but better” shades. I’m not the biggest fan of matte liquid lipsticks on their own, so I always apply a layer of lip balm over this or a light gloss. Jetsetter is a peach brown with a cream finish and totally gives me 90’s vibes – I love it! The formula is creamy and mimics a mousse yet still packs a lot of pigment.
This In The Nude palette has become a staple in my collection. Eyeshadow is my favorite makeup to collect – can you ever really have enough?! While the whole nude theme isn’t anything new or original, we all need at least one nude palette. This one contains some of my favorite neutral colors out of all my palettes. The mattes are smooth and blendable and the foiled shades are incredibly creamy and pigmented. This palette contains 4 new shades made specifically for this in addition to 5 of their best-selling neutral shades. I use the shade Creased all the time as an all over lid shade when I don’t feel like putting the effort or the time into doing my makeup. The shade Grandstand is another fave – dab it on with your fingertip to get intense color payoff.
And one of my favorite things about Makeup Geek is that you can buy eyeshadow singles and build your own palette and design something to your exact liking. I really love that concept! Above are the shades I chose, with the exception of Chickadee, every shade is really great for everyday wear. Chickadee is a fun pop of color though. I love the shade Bedrock, it’s a soft gray which I really love and layers well with other cool toned colors.
I am beyond picky when it comes to bronzers, I HATE overly pigmented powdery face products. I’d much rather have something that takes a little more time to build up rather than something that will ruin my makeup with one swipe. And to be completely honest, when I first saw this I thought it would be WAY too dark for my skin tone. It looks really dark in the pan doesn’t it? With a light hand this adds such a soft “sun-kissed” glow without looking muddy or patchy and looks even better when I’m tan. As for the highlighter, because it’s a soft peach leaning on the pink side, I usually skip out on blush on days when I wear this. I also apply this really lightly to get just enough color without looking overly shiny and it adds just enough of a luminous glow.
What are your favorite Makeup Geek products?! Xo.

Loooove your seasonal pic! I’m also a huge fan of Makeup Geek shadows. I haven’t tried any of their palettes yet, but my favorite singles are “Peach Smoothie” and “Cocoa Bear”. Great post! xo Lauren
