Kevyn Aucoin The Neo-Blush // Sunset, Pink Sand, Grapevine & Rose Cliff <3

As a complete makeup enthusiast, I wasn’t always blush obsessed. As far as I could tell, blushes made your cheeks look pink & rosy and that was that. It wasn’t until I tried a cult-favorite classic years ago that I realized the importance and versatility of a good blush. How much it can awaken your complexion and add such youth that no other makeup product can. And no matter how many blushes I continue to hoard, I keep gravitating towards these Kevyn Aucoin Neo-Blushes.

I love that each compact comes with a spectrum of colors allowing you to easily customize your perfect shade whether it be a more natural just-pinched prettiness or a bold pop of warmth. In addition to being some of the most uniquely innovative blushes currently on the market, the color selection was beautifully curated and inclusive for every skin tone.

The whole ombre personalization concept is what makes these truly special and different than a basic blush. While these can be applied as three distinctively different shades, I prefer to swirl my brush directly across to pick up pigment from lightest to darkest. The combination of pearl, satin, and matte finishes add dimension and such life to lackluster skin. Like every Kevyn Aucoin powder product I’ve tried; they’re richly pigmented and a little goes a long way. The finely-milled formula sinks right into your skin and doesn’t have a powdery, chalky formula and this selection works year round.

Pink Sand ::: A soft cool-toned baby pink flush. I usually reach for this one when I’m into a more natural, “no-makeup” makeup day and don’t want anything too colorful.

Rose Cliff ::: My personal favorite, and the kind of color you’d naturally get from a day out in the sun. A luminous, enlivening, shimmery pink that looks stunning swept across the cheeks. The is one of my all-time favorites and looks good on everybody.

Grapevine ::: A cool plum undertone and the deepest of the 4, this would look beautiful on deeper skin tones but is still totally workable for light/medium skin tones if applied with a lighter hand and built-up for intensity.

Sunset ::: The boldest of them all, this can double as a blush & a highlight depending on where you tap your brush along the gradient. I find that the center shaded area creates the most flattering peachy blush shade that has become my go-to for summer.

The original Kevyn Aucoin Pure Powder Glow Blushes are some of my favorites and I love these even more. What sets high end powder cheek products apart from the drugstore alternatives is the smooth formulation and longevity and Kevyn Aucoin sets the bar high and never fails. These are $38 for 6.8g/0.2 oz of product and worth every single penny.

  1. I absolutely LOVE these! I don’t have any yet but after seeing your swatches… the Rose Cliff and Grapevine are definitely shades I want. I have a lot of pinks and corals and I’m always looking for berry tones. These are exactly what I had in mind! Super pretty. These are also great because you can go towards the lighter side of the compact or darker side to adjust how deep you want the shade. I have some of the Neo Highlighters and I really love that about the design!

    Thanks for sharing. —
