Hourglass Ambient Lighting Blushes

After trying out the cult-favorite Hourglass Ambient Lighting Palette and becoming absolutely obsessed, it was no surprise that these stunning Ambient Lighting Blushes quickly became a personal favorite as well. Each blush is handmade using advance technique to create the perfect balance between Ambient Lighting Powder and vivid cheek pigments. It’s kind of a cross between a blush and subtle highlight and offers the prettiest glow with depth and dimension.

No two blushes are exactly alike, so depending on whether yours has more pigment or powder, the amount of product needed to build up your perfect color varies. I was surprised at how much color these, and mine appear to be pretty evenly colored. They really do give the perfect radiant natural finish with the perfect flush of color.

I think we all can agree that NO ONE loves an overly pigmented blush. They’re hard to work with and clown cheeks aren’t in.. no thank you! These apply subtly and softly and are one of the easiest formulas to work with as they apply very evenly and don’t cling to texture or accentuate pores like many glowy blushes tend to do. When applied directly over powder these sheer out effortlessly, but applying them over a cream based product showcases their richness and will easily intensify the color.

Dim Infusion ::: A subdued coral blush fused with Dim Light to add warmth. This is one of the lighter more subtle colors out of the whole collection. While it is light, I find it shows up quite well on my skin and offers such a pretty soft peachy glow that I am loving for summer.

Mood Exposure ::: A soft plum blush fused with Mood Light to brighten the complexion. Depending on how bold of a blush you like, this might look like just another boring neutral. However, it ended up being my favorite. It’s such a versatile shade that leans almost mauvey/rose on me and looks like it would work for pretty much any skin tone. It’s gorgeous.

Incandescent Electra :::  A cool peach blush blended with Incandescent Strobe Light for a celestial glow. This one is the brightest of the three and contains more of a shimmery highlighting affect vs the soft subtle glow the others offer.

All in all, these are truly amazing. Albeit expensive, these stand out amongst thousands of blushes currently on the market and I know I’m not alone when I say it takes years to go through a single blush, so you will most definitely get your moneys worth. Xo.

  1. I love the photos you took and very nice review, I love how these blushes look, the packaging is so pretty!! It’s nice to hear that it’s worth the money!!

  2. I live the look of these, the mixed colours in each is so pretty. I love the look of mood exposure but dim infusion is definitely more a colour I’d wear. I wish they weren’t so expensive, I’d definitely give them a go but for now I’ll just stare at pictures! 😁
