While the rest of the beauty community is breaking out the latest deep cranberry & fall inspired colors, I’m still over here stocking up (slightly hoarding!) on the best nude lip shades I can find. Does anyone else feel like you can never have enough nude lip glosses, lip sticks, lip lacquers etc?!
My latest find are these Smith & Cult Lip Lacquers. I’m pretty sure these have been out for a while, and I’m a little late to the game but they’re new to me – aaaaand like I always say, better late than never right?! I, along with many others, can appreciate chic packaging, and Smith & Cult nailed it with these. They’re formulated with natural coconut essence & portulaca pilosa extract to help smooth, hydrate & plump lips. They are also vegan, gluten free & paraben free. Incredibly comfortable to wear, NOT a sticky, tacky texture (I hate that!) and they feel really moisturizing AKA all the best qualities you can find in a gloss.
These will convert even the pickiest matte-lipstick wearer into a lip gloss lover. My favorite shades are: Now Kith (light mauve, the deepest of the four but still applies sheer & natural-toned), Fade The Sun (peach with gold flecks), Life In Photographs (very sheer, minimalist) and Milk For Hunny (a creamy nude – my fave). While they’re all light and a few are slightly similar in color, they’re also all so wearable and complimentary on a wide scale. I love wearing these on their own, but they also apply great overtop of other lipsticks as well. The consistency is somewhat thicker than other glosses I’ve tried but I think that also helps with the longevity and wear time and I don’t find that I need to touch up as often.
I reach for these daily and cannot get enough of the sweet vanilla scent! I’m attempting to break out of my comfort zone and try something bolder, but for now I think I’ll stick to my tried & true nude glosses! Xo.
