Sephora Favorites – Give Me Some Nude Lip Kit

I know I’m not alone when I say it takes me FOR-EV-ER to get through a full sized lip product. I love that Sephora launched several “Favorites” collections; one of them being this Give Me Some Nude Lip Kit. This is every neutral-lip-loving girls dream. They carefully curated this to include a variety of options from matte lipstick, to a lip plumper, a top coat, etc that all wear beautifully alone or pair together to customize your perfect nude lip!

If you know how much some of these products retail on their own (NARS Lip Stylo is $32/full size), this is a phenomenal deal and a great way to try out some new products before committing to paying full price. With the exception of the Buxom Lip Polish, these were all new to me and have become some of my favorites really quickly. I’m obsessed with all things nude and neutral and no matter how many times I attempt to venture out and try something different, I always go back to my tried & true nudes!

NARS // Orgasm ::: This shade is best known from their infamous Orgasm blush that I’m pretty sure was a favorite of everyones years ago. It’s a super flattering shade of peachy pink with shimmer and when applied it sheers out to a subtle shimmer that adds a slight brightness while pulling your whole look together.

Tarte // Exposed ::: I was SHOCKED at the staying power of this. It didn’t budge at all for hours. Even washing off the swatch was a struggle! A universal opaque rosy-nude that dries down matte and does not transfer or wear off all day long.

Buxom // Sugar ::: The Buxom Lip Polishes are some of my all-time favorite lip glosses. This shade is really sheer but looks great with any makeup you wear it with. It has a slight tingle, smells absolutely amazing and does a pretty good job at plumping your lips.

Hourglass // Futurist ::: With ingredients like shea butter + jojoba oil, this is as hydrating & nourishing as it is beautiful. It’s a mauve/nude and is so creamy and easy to apply. I can’t stop reaching for this one – I’m loving the consistency and how comfortable it feels.

Urban Decay // Fever ::: While this isn’t something I’d normally go for, I’m glad they included it in this set. It’s a sheer pink with a 3D sparkle shift. It’s designed to be a lip topper to enhance other lip products. Upon first glance, you may think “no thanks, not for me” but it’s actually pretty interesting & fun. Once applied it just adds a shimmery finish to whatever you layer it with. I am not a fan of matte lips so I always apply a gloss overtop and this one adds a cool pop of shimmer without looking too bold and iridescent.

Smashbox // Mauve Wife ::: Lastly, my least favorite. I don’t mind the formula, its long wearing and somewhat smudge-proof, I just don’t like the color. It’s a little to dark for me and I just didn’t find it all that flattering on my lips.

Overall, I really love the variety of textures and finishes in this kit and that it gives you the opportunity to experiment with products you may have not purchased on their own. The estimated value is $80+ and it only costs $28 so it’s well worth the cost.

  1. I love these minis, I don’t think I’ve ever finished a full sized lip colour and they’re so handy to have in your bag. The Tarte and Hourglass ones are definitely my favourites but they’re all so pretty and such wearable shades.
