Entryway Design Ideas

One home project that’s been on my list for a loooong time has been my entryway/foyer. We added board & batten a few years ago but wanted to extend it all the way up to the ceiling and add a large arched mirror for more impact.

First, we extended the board & batten all the way up (my husband did this, I’m not so skilled with a saw, ha!) I wanted a console table that was longer than a standard 60” to better fit the space, so we built a custom size table with a simple, modern profile. For $70 this created the look we wanted for a fraction of the price had we bought a similar style.

Then it came to styling – I looked for small decor pieces from Target & Amazon to keep it affordable and included an indoor/outdoor rug from Porte + Hall that is stain resistant, slip resistant and will withstand heavy foot traffic. The rug style I chose is The Innerweave Runner in Chevron Dark Grey. It’s really durable and anchors the space well. I love how this project came out and am motivated to refresh more areas in my house now!
