Annnnnnd.. one of the newest celebrities to join the beauty community is.. Jennifer Lopez! The Jennifer Lopez x INGLOT collection contains 70 products including lipsticks, nail polishes, mascara, bronzers, blushes, eyeshadows and everything else you need to create the infamous “JLO glow”. If the thought of browsing through such a big variety of products seems overwhelming, fear not – I have you covered! I narrowed down my top choices and am ready to spill the details.
The JLO x INGLOT collection features four different Freedom System palettes. Unlike the traditional FS palettes, these come in matte black packaging with burnished writing are look really chic & sophisticated.
This wasn’t my first experience trying out Inglot, I made a custom eyeshadow palette using their Freedom System palette a few months ago, and to be totally honest I was’t completely impressed. To be fair, I did choose light shades, however they weren’t nearly pigmented enough for my liking. When trying out the JLO eyeshadow shades I was really surprised at how much more I liked these than the original shades I tried. The formula of the eyeshadows is interesting, they’re a matte base with a sparkle finish. Not quite as much shine as a true metallic but not as flat as a basic matte either. The formula includes tsubaki oil & vitamin E for long lasting hydration. For a mostly neutral shade range, I think she did a good job at including a lot of staple shades that are perfectly soft & glowy for summer.
J329 Taupe – J331 Bordeaux – J335 Pearl – J305 Ivory
In addition to her bronzers, she created several richly pigmented sculpting powders. It could be that this shade (J137 Cocoa 4) is just too deep for my skin tone, but this really chisels and defines with minimal effort. With a really light hand, I can make this work for me and it adds just enough color without looking too muddy or overdone. I am blush obsessed and was really excited to give this one a try. You’re probably looking at this thinking it’s a fun, bright pop of color or WOAH too much. Albeit bright, it doesn’t come off quite as bold once applied to the cheeks. If this shade isn’t for you, their is a softer more subdued pink that might work.
Even more unique than their eyeshadow range are these Pure Pigment Eye Shadows. I have the shade J409 Cosmic Glow and it is the most beautiful shade of sparkly, glittery cool-toned taupe/gold. This is for sure my favorite product in the entire collection. After using this several times, I found that pouring the tiniest amount to the back of my hand and then blending it out a little helped me apply this without making a complete mess. The pigment is so intense and it builds so easily and will add so much glow and intensity. I love it!
I heard that somewhere that JLO’s favorite lipstick from her collection is Flor and that just so happens to be mine as well! 😉 It’s an opaque peachy nude that gives great coverage and is comfortable to wear. I hate super dry lipsticks, and this one is far from. It contains vitamin A & E, Apricot Kernel Oil and leaves your lips feeling smooth & hydrated. I’ve been reaching for this lipstick a lot lately.
If you’re a huge fan of JLO you better head over to http://www.inglotusa.com and pick up this collection (or at least a product or two) if you haven’t already. Xo.

I’m currently trying the ‘Flamingo’ matte lipstick, it’s not bad but a little dry. I think I will buy the color ‘flor’ because the formula is less dry and probably better for my lips. Great post and beautiful pictures!!
Hmmm, you could always try layering a balm over or under it to help with the dryness!
