Smashbox Cover Shot Palettes // Prism, Punked & Major Metals

Amongst [what feels like] a thousand new makeup releases, Smashbox just debuted their newest additions to the Cover Shot collection. These aren’t talked about nearly as much as the latest ABH or UD releases, but are something worth checking out. I enjoyed the first launch of their Cover Shot palettes, Ablaze was my favorite, but I like these even more. While I don’t have all of the newer releases, I was fortunate enough to snag my favorite ones!

.:. Prism .:. If you love holographic and pastel toned shades that pack a punch, this palette is for you. Astro Not & Rocket Star are duo-chrome transformer shades that will amp up any look and add a fun pop of holographic color. Unicorn vibes, anyone?!

.:. Punked .:. Cool tones + purple hues are totally my vibe & everything I could ask for in a palette! This one contains 4 mattes and 4 shimmers and is my most reached for of them all. I’m not totally sure if this palette was part of the original launch or the second wave, but cool-toned palettes are rare these days, and this one was well designed and is much needed in a market saturated with warm-tones.

.:. Major Metals .:. Packed with copper, gold, bronze, and a deep maroon, this palette screams FALL to me! Each shade offers a rich, metallic finish and packs a lot of pigment. My favorite way to wear these, apply any taupe/skin toned shade in the crease then pat one (or two) of these bold metallic shades all over the lid. It takes the glam factor up a notch and takes less than a minute to achieve!
