If you’re looking for effortlessly chic eyeshadow, look no further than RÓEN Beauty. They’ve curated a small collection of three palettes; 11:11, 75° Warm and 52° Cool. This luxury beauty brand was started by a clean beauty advocate, celebrity makeup artist and a fashion photographer who wanted to create high performance, innovative formulas in the clean beauty space.
If you’re a true makeup enthusiast and appreciate clean beauty brands, you know how far we’ve come these last few years. Years ago, the options were very limited, the packaging was usually simple (and sometimes boring) and the formulas took some getting used to. Not the case anymore, there are SO many amazing options that you will not have to sacrifice quality or performance when opting for a cleaner alternative to traditional makeup. Especially when it comes to RÓEN.
Out of the three I was of course drawn to the cooler toned palette, 52° Cool. The eyeshadows are housed in a petite, sleek, reflective compact and that comes with a white velvet pouch adding to the luxe vibe of it all. For only having four shades, this palette still gives you varying options – Bask (rose gold), Rendezvous (purple), Yep (taupe-grey) and Meow (gunmetal). These shades look so beautiful paired together OR on their own for a quick, fool-proof look. The formula is very dense and emollient, it’s somewhere between a powder and a balm. I find they apply best with your fingertips for the best color payoff and can be diffused with a brush for a softer finish. With that said, these do crease but can be fixed by tapping over the shadow with your finger. The not-so-perfect end result (natural creases) attributes to the casual “lived-in” feel you’ll get when wearing these eyeshadows.
I love the beautiful color story, the clean formula and innovative concept. These eyeshadows are a major score for both makeup artists and novices alike.
