A new beauty brand I was surprised & excited to see in 2020! Seeing Lauren’s makeup line was so nostalgic as I grew up watching Laguna Beach then later The Hills. LC’s makeup style is known for being minimalist with a laid back approach and that’s exactly what you’ll get with her collection of products.
The Eyeshadow Palettes come in two color stories: Sunrise (warm-toned neutrals) & Magic Hour (cool-toned neutrals). It’s such an easy to use formula whether your looking for just a subtle wash of color or want to build it up for something more bold. I was actually surprised at the pigmentation. Out of the two I definitely prefer Sunrise, which is surprising because I ALWAYS gravitate towards cool-tones, except in this case. The shades in sunrise pair so well together and I think it gives better color payoff between the two. They’re not overly orange warm-tones which is why I think I like them, and the gold shade… beautiful!
As someone who loves blush, I definitely wanted to try the two offered: Romance & Peach. They both offer a demi-matte finish with a lightweight formula that is easily buildable. Romance is my favorite of the two – I love muted-mauvy pinks, and that’s exactly what this is. It’s not too bright, offers enough color that it shows up without having to go in heavy handed, and provides the prettiest flush of color. Peach is the brighter of the two, but even then still isn’t over the top. They’re both very easy to use formulas and blend out effortlessly.
I really love that Lauren put a lot of thought into this collection when it comes to sustainability & clean ingredients. The products contain a vegan, ethically sourced formula and the packaging is more environmentally friendly than traditional cosmetic products due to not containing mirrors or plastics. LC’s brand is focused on uncomplicated beauty, and I am totally on board. 🙌🏻
