Everytime I feel motivated to start eating better (man, do I wish I didn’t love carbs so much!) I kickstart my “diet” with a meal-replacement smoothie for lunch. I work remotely so I am able to make my own usually but if you’re on-the-go or just looking to switch it up and try something different, Splendid Spoon offers meal plans that have you covered for breakfast, lunch AND dinner. I don’t think anything sounds better right now than not having to meal prep, cook OR clean up. Yes, please!
Their meal plan let’s you control how often you want to receive meals (weekly, bi-weekly or monthly) and takes all the guess work out of meal prepping. My favorite offering were the breakfast smoothies. They’re packed with protein and have low-sugar options and they switch up the varieties weekly. I’ve tried a lot of pre-made smoothies that weren’t downright disgusting, not the case with these. My favorite was the Mint Chip Smoothie; banana, almond butter, coconut nectar, cacao nibs, baobab powder, pea protein, Swiss chard juice, spirulina, peppermint & Himalayan salt. Great for breakfast, lunch or a mid-morning snack to hold you over.
And if you’re someone who doesn’t have the time to spend making lunch daily but still wants a healthy alternative to take out – the lunch bowls are for you. The picture above shows them exactly how they arrive, frozen and ready to heat. And the best part, no clean up, at all! While I prefer the smoothies over the bowls for lunch, these are a super healthy option and they too are alternated weekly to switch things up.
They also have detox shots (Apple, lemon, kale, moringa & spirulina) and wellness shots (lemon, oregano, orange juice & ginger) for an extra oomph of nutrients.
