If there’s one brand we can always count on to continuously release the highest quality face powders, it’s definitely Hourglass. I’ve used and loved their original Ambient Lighting Palette for years and their Ambient Lighting Blush in the shade Mood Exposure is my all-time favorite blush. So adding a their Ambient Metallic Strobe Lighting Palette to my curated makeup collection just felt like it needed to be done.
To be totally honest – I am not that big of a fan of highlighters. I am all about natural looking makeup and highlighting usually very obviously gives the opposite affect. These are different though, they give the most subdued lit-from-within natural glow. It does pack more of a punch than the original Ambient Lighting Palette, but it’s not that overly glittery, thick stripe of highlighter formula many are. It’s super lightweight, blendable and can be built up if you like a more intense highlight.
Hourglass’ describes these as highly concentrated metallic strobing powders that use Photoluminescent Technology to achieve the brightest highlight. My favorite shade is Lucent Strobe Light for a super subtle glow that nearly matches my skin tone. All three shades are so beautiful on their own or can be mixed to create a custom glow.
